SmartLogging: Independent, Performance- Based Certification for Responsible Loggers

Over the last decade forestry certification has become a tool used around the world to encourage and recognize well-managed forestry operations. Since pioneering global forest certification in 1989, the Rainforest Alliance has helped the public identify good forestry operations through certification. Now, in collaboration with logging and forestry professionals, the Rainforest Alliance’s SmartWood program is offering SmartLogging certification — a third party, performance- based, audit and certification system for loggers.
