Locke-Revels

Locke Revels

Operations & Outreach Intern

Locke’s ideal biome is a river, field, holler, dirt road or rhododendron dell leading to friends or nature’s solitude somewhere in Appalachia or the greater southeast.

A North Carolina native, Locke completed a B.S. in Environmental Sciences from UNC-Chapel Hill in 2017. He has since worked in a number of sectors exploring the systemic intersections of environmental research, justice, consulting and social engagement. He is passionate about grassroots organizing for human-environmental interdependency and well-being.

Locke is based in and around Boone, North Carolina, making Appalachian Voices the perfect home to apply this passion. He enjoys all aspects of participation in Southern foodways and has kept some houseplants alive.
