Kara Dotten

Kara Dotten is a resident of Wise, VA, where she was born and raised, and a graduate from the UVA Wise Visual & Performing Arts Program. She is a Virginia Master Naturalist and offers monthly hikes and nature-based learning opportunities for her community. She is also an active board member for the Pro-Art Association and a volunteer for local stewardship and outdoor recreation projects. In her spare time, Kara enjoys hiking and backpacking, nature photography and cooking truly mediocre dishes for her loved ones. She is excited to be part of the Appalachian Voices team in her own backyard!
