Debra Murray

Originally from Louisville, Ky., Debra moved to Bowling Green to earn her bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Political Science at Western Kentucky University. Now, she is pursuing her Master’s in Public Administration and a certificate in Nonprofit Management at WKU.

Before her internship at Appalachian Voices, she worked as a communications strategist for WeLead CS and was a nonprofit leadership intern at the Borgen Project.

Outside of work, Debra is typically reading with her cat, playing video games, tending to her plants or volunteering at the local farmer’s market.
