Amanda Leech
Human Resources Manager
Amanda joined the Appalachian Voices team in June of 2026 as the Human Resources Manager. She brings 15 years of nonprofit management experience as well as previously serving as the President and CEO of a United Way in the Central Shenandoah Valley. She earned her Master’s in Human Resource Development from James Madison University in 2015 and has a passion for training and development, team building and all the soft skills that make up a workplace.
Growing up in a military family, Amanda moved every 2-3 years until she landed in the Shenandoah Valley for her freshman year of college at JMU. It was there that she fell in love with the mountains and rivers of the Valley. Outside of work she loves running, exploring new cities and crafting with her friends.
