June, 2025: We are excited to share the B.A.D. (Brownfields, Abandoned, and Dilapidated) Buildings report, created via a partnership between the town of Pound, West Virginia University’s B.A.D. Buildings program, the Virginia Department of Environmental Quality and Appalachian Voices. After a year and a half of community-led building inventory days, listening sessions, and project prioritization, this report will assist the town in addressing blight and revitalizing their historic downtown area.
