NORTON, Va. — Partners from West Virginia University’s BAD (Brownfields, Abandoned, Dilapidated) Building Program have devised a comprehensive overview of Pound’s buildings in need based on a 2023 program involving residents of town of Pound, Appalachian Voices, WVU Bad Buildings and Virginia Department of Environmental Quality. Participants identified buildings in town that were in need of attention or demolition as well as five priority areas for the town’s focus: health and safety, visibility, brownfield property, development potential and feasibility.
Join us on May 7 at 5:30 p.m. to learn more about the conclusion of the BAD Buildings program and the resulting plans for Pound. Everyone is welcome, and former attendance is not required to join the planning process.
Community members can RSVP on Eventbrite.
