Amanda Marple
Appalachian Solar Finance Fund Program Coordinator
Originally from the eastern panhandle of West Virginia, Amanda Marple earned her B.A. and M.A. in Geography from West Virginia University focusing on cooperative development, food system change, and social and economic justice in Appalachia.
Amanda joins the Appalachian Solar Finance Fund from a national utility-scale independent power producer where she managed local solar project engagement and partner development as the Community Engagement Manager.
Amanda currently lives in Swanton, Maryland, with her husband, stepson and pets. She is passionate about supporting her home region and leveraging her experience in the solar industry to ensure access to affordable renewable energy for all.
In her free time, you can usually find Amanda somewhere in the woods with her dog, Zippo, kayaking, or drinking coffee on the porch with her husband.
