Appalachian Connection to Delay Scandal

There are many public servants, both Republican and Democrat, that make me proud to be an Appalachian citizen.

In NC-05, my district, Virginia Foxx has not been one of them.

She has made it a habit to follow special interest money, including that of disgraced former House Leader Tom Delay (R-TX-22), rather than to serve the will of her constituents.

Delay just announced his resignation from Congress. But he leaves a long list of Appalachian Congressional members to whom he gave generously over the years.

Foxx has taken $15000 from Delay’s PAC, and I have seen her- in person – refuse to simply answer qustions and concerns of her constituents.
I hope that if Delay (now saying he will retire) is found guilty, Virginia Foxx will give his money to charity.

Somehow I doubt it.
