Dec. 10: Chesterfield gas plant final DEQ hearing

We’ve stood strong for more than two and a half years against Dominion Energy’s proposed gas plant in Chesterfield County because it would threaten our clean air and our communities’ health. While the state agency that oversees utilities regrettably approved the project on Dec. 3, Dominion still cannot build this plant without an air permit.
Now it’s up to the Virginia Department of Environmental Quality to get this decision right — and they need to hear from you. Join local residents and advocates in Chester on Wednesday, Dec. 10, at 4 p.m. for a rally, followed by DEQ’s public hearing at 5 p.m. This is DEQ’s opportunity to present its summary of public comments — and your last chance to tell them directly: NO to this polluting gas plant.
