Appalachian Voices to co-host energy affordability event in Christiansburg

CHRISTIANSBURG, Va. — On Nov. 20, Appalachian Voices and Virginia Organizing are hosting an energy affordability event at the Christiansburg Library from 5 to 7 p.m.
The event will feature organizations offering energy efficiency upgrades, low-income weatherization assistance programs, solar installers as well as nonprofits discussing tax credits and other programs.
“Keeping the Lights On: Affordable Energy for Our Communities” will offer participants at all income levels actionable steps to make their home more energy efficient, comfortable and safe, and to save money on utility bills.
The event is free, family-friendly and open to the public. Light food will be provided.
