Get Involved
Not only does the biological diversity of the central and southern Appalachian mountains rival that of any place in the world outside of the tropical rainforest, it also contains the roots of American culture and history. But the threats to Appalachia are many.
Appalachian Voices brings people together to solve the environmental problems having the greatest impact on our mountain region. There are many ways to get involved. We invite and encourage you to join us in protecting our land, air and water.
Send letters to your legislators and other actions to help promote a reduction in fossil fuels and a push to cleaner energy.
Speak up for our mountains by making a onetime donation or becoming a Mountain Protector monthly giver.
Our internships provide a hands-on experience in various aspects of nonprofit operations, from community organizing to communications.
Participate in our campaign work, learn valuable advocacy and organizing skills, and meet new people through one of our volunteer opportunities!
Meet the outstanding members of Appalachian Voices who volunteer their time to protect the natural and cultural heritage of our region.
