Mercury Pollution Hits Home

I’m a North Carolina native, and for two years I lived in Wilmington, Del. I saw all the rivers and streams on the map and thought how beautiful it must be — lovely homes and waterfront properties. Instead I found too much of it littered with industry. Every stream I saw had a sign warning of mercury pollution. I couldn’t believe anyone would even swim in the water.

Let’s learn from others’ mistakes — mercury poisoning has no cheap cleanup and no easy cure.
