The FSC-US has a set of nine regional standards that are used to judge compliance at the forest management level with the FSC’s Principles and Criteria. The Forest Stewardship Council requires that national and regional standards be reviewed and revised at least every five years. Over the last year FSC-US has conducted a review of all nine regional standards as a first step in the process to revise the standards. In continuation of this process to encourage public participation, the results of the Standard Review are being released for a 60-day review and comment period. The comment period will be open until December 11, 2006.
