My Favorite Ropeswing

Yesterday we talked about the dire straites of Rawl, WV and the heroes there who are fighting back. It was an inspiring, depressing, and humbling tale.

Covering environmental and cultural news in the Appalachians can be quite depressing of late. But if you are from here, or have visited, you know that were incredibly fun to be around!

Actually…were almost too fun!!

We are not ashamed of hard work here, but we also love to go outside and play! The Great Smokey Mountains National Park is the most visited National Park in the entire country! We live in the most beautiful place in the world, so there is no reason not to go spend some time outside!

So lets share a little bit about ourselves. Not our names, religious affiliation, G.P.A., age, or any of that.

I want to know about your favorite ropeswing.
Here’s mine.

It is only 1/4 mile from the campus of ASU. Last year, a bear walked out of these woods and into our Convocation Center! Despite being an “urban area” (for the mountains), Boone is not that far from deep woods and beautiful countryside.

Just be careful!…
