Recovery work will continue for months and years to come in communities hit hardest by Hurricane Helene. Thousands of households are still displaced, many small businesses are struggling, land and waterways are forever changed and infrastructure challenges persist.
There are many ways to volunteer or make monetary donations to support ongoing recovery efforts, and there are long-term recovery groups and other resources for those impacted by the storm. We welcome updated or new information on resources, volunteer opportunities and more. Please email your suggestions to floodresources@appvoices.org.
Volunteers and donations will be needed for months and years to come across the region. While not comprehensive, we’ve compiled a few local and national organizations working on long-term recovery in the area. Many long-term recovery groups (listed below) are also seeking donations and volunteers.
