June 3: Drag Down Our Electric Bills Rally and public hearing

We all want affordable clean energy for our communities, but Duke Energy’s proposed 18% rate hikes would raise residential electric bills $20-30 a month and lock us into decades of more fossil fuel pollution.
On Wednesday, June 3, North Carolina regulators will hold a meeting in Durham to hear from the public about Duke’s proposal. This is a chance for us to show up and tell them that paying more for electricity from methane gas will hurt us — financially and environmentally. Speak out at the hearing, and join us beforehand for a rally and drag performances!
