In February, a devastating flood hit the Central Appalachian region as heavy rains combined with melting ice and snow. Some of the counties affected were also hit with severe flooding in 2021 and 2022 and have not fully recovered from that previous disaster. Many families are contending with harsh winter conditions in inadequate housing, and roads and bridges are still being rebuilt from last year’s hurricane.

Below are some ways that you can help during this difficult time. We welcome updated or new information on resources, donation dropoffs, volunteer opportunities and more. Please email your suggestions to: floodresources [at] appvoices.org
