Call Congress to say clean energy tax credits work for our communities
Call your legislators and tell them: Clean energy tax credits work for our communities

Lawmakers in Congress want to slash the budget in order to pay for tax cuts to billionaires, and clean energy and energy efficiency tax credits are on the chopping block. In 2023, the U.S. Treasury reported that American households claimed $8.4 billion in tax credits for energy efficiency upgrades and clean energy projects.
Using these tax credits has supported job growth and reduced pollution while helping households and businesses generate their own electricity. These tax credits have also lowered electricity costs for residents and businesses across the board, according to multiple reports.* Repealing clean energy tax credits would cost us jobs and increase everyone’s electric bills.
Lawmakers are also considering blocking schools, churches, local governments and other tax-exempt organizations from benefiting from these incentives!
Members of Congress need to hear from their constituents that they don’t want their electricity bills to go up or to lose the new jobs in their communities created by the clean energy tax credits.
