Community preparedness and resilience workshop to be held in Dickson County on Sept. 27

A workshop in Charlotte, Tennessee, will help community members learn about disaster preparedness, the role solar energy can play in dealing with disasters and how to build stronger networks among the community. The workshop will be held on Sept. 27 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Promise Land Community Center.
The workshop is aimed at local residents, farmers, community groups, neighborhood associations and community leaders. Participants will leave with practical tools, an emergency kit checklist, a solar starter guide and funding resources, emergency templates, and contact lists.
The workshop is free to attend.
