The Solar Workgroup of Southwest Virginia will host its first community meeting of 2026 on Thursday, April 30, from 3 to 5 p.m. at the Town of Lebanon Recreational Center. The meeting will focus on solar energy educational and training opportunities in far Southwest Virginia.
The recreation center is located at 45 Gibson St, Lebanon, VA 24266.
The Solar Workgroup is a group of nonprofit and community action agencies, colleges, state agencies and other interested citizens and businesses helping to develop a renewable energy industry in the seven coalfield counties of Southwest Virginia.
The event is free, and the workgroup will provide dinner at the end of the meeting. All attendees will be entered into the door prize drawing for a Solar Workgroup Solsquatch t-shirt.
