On Jan. 24, Appalachian Voices will host a Community Preparedness and Resilience Workshop in White Bluff, Tennessee, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The workshop is free and open to the public.

The workshop is designed to equip rural communities with the knowledge and practical tools they need to prepare for emergencies, strengthen local networks for mutual aid and recovery, and help communities become more resilient through planning, collaboration and shared resources.

Attendees will learn about extreme-weather action planning while playing an interactive game, how to analyze their community’s strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats, and how to plan for emergency response.

Lunch will be provided, and door prizes will be given away.
The event will be held at the Bibb-White Bluff Civic Center, 1054 Old Charlotte Rd., White Bluff, TN 37187. Interested people can RSVP here.
