Environment at Risk art exhibition opens July 17 in Glen Allen, Va. 

Exhibition features over 35 regional artists addressing environmental harms

GLEN ALLEN, Va. — On Thursday, July 17, Appalachian Voices will host a new art exhibition “Environment at Risk” at the Gumenick Family Gallery of The Cultural Arts Center at Glen Allen in Henrico County, Virginia. “Environment at Risk” features paintings, drawings, collage, sculpture, photography and fiber art from over 35 contemporary artists inspired by our natural world, and showcases the impacts to local communities and ecosystems from environmental threats. 

“Environment At Risk” will be on display from July 17 to Sept. 14, with an opening reception on July 17, from 6 to 8 p.m. Included in the exhibition are artists Genesis Chapman, Nikki Painter, Santa Sergio De Haven, Mary Anne Hensley, Tiffany Floyd and Paul Terrell. The multi-media exhibition is free and open to the public.
