Making Music to Support Mountaintops
This August 24-26, join us at the 5th Annual Music on the Mountaintop Festival near Boone, N.C. Nestled at the foot of majestic Grandfather Mountain, this 3-day, environmentally friendly festival will feature Railroad Earth, Sam Bush, Dr. Dog, The Dirty Dozen Brass Band, and numerous other local, regional and national acts. Appalachian Voices has been chosen once again to be the featured non-profit organization at the festival and will receive a portion of the proceeds. Come out and enjoy some amazing live music, experience the social awareness of the non-profit village, and simultaneously support our work to create a better future for Appalachia! Tent camping and limited RV camping available. Visit musiconthemountaintop.com for all the details.
Noble Nuptials
When Ann Kingston and her new husband, John, got married, they decided to add a different spin to their bridal registry by including donations to Appalachian Voices as part of their gift options. Thanks to their generous gesture, and to their friends and family, the inventive pair collected a total of $695 for the organization! We send our heartfelt thanks and congratulations to the happy couple, who helped save mountains and communities through their selfless act of love
