Solar Discovery in Southwest Virginia
Known as the “Solar in Your Community Challenge,” the challenge is a competition designed to incentivize the development of new approaches to make electricity more affordable while expanding solar access across America. The Solar Workgroup of Southwest Virginia was honored in the “Solar Discovery: Bringing Solar to New Markets” category.
“Innovative solar programs supported by this challenge can help reduce the electricity bills for our local governments, residents, and businesses,” says our New Economy Program Manager Chelsea Barnes. Appalachian Voices is a co-convener of the workgroup.
