Join Appalachian Voices and community partners for the Kraut Creek Clean Up during April. Together, we’ll help restore one of Boone’s most important waterways, protect local ecosystems and celebrate our community’s resiliency 

Volunteers of all ages are welcome! Be sure to bring: sturdy, waterproof shoes, clothes you don’t mind getting dirty, a hat for the sun and a readiness to make a difference! We will supply: trash pickup sticks, orange vests, gloves, trash bags and refreshments. Our section is from Jimmy Smith Park to the Appalachia Cookie Company. 

Local businesses are offering gifts to thank folks in our community for their participation and support! Help us clean the creek for the chance to win prizes from Appalachia Cookie Company, Ben and Jerry’s, Clean Eatz, Betty’s Biscuits, Blue Ridge Women In Agriculture, Coyote Kitchen, Fizz Ed, Future Relics,  Howard Station, Lily’s Snack Bar, Lost Province, Mellow Mushroom, ReGear Outdoors, Rooted, Wildwood Market and more! We will also have free treats available for those who participate.
