Data Research Assistant

Filled for fall 2021

The Data Research Assistant will work with the Communications Coordinator to analyze insights on visitor traffic and user behavior on the organization’s websites, social media platforms and supporter email lists to help identify trends and recommend performance changes for those channels.

Responsibilities may include:

  • Downloading and organizing user insights from Google Analytics, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and the organization’s email and advocacy tool (training will be supplied for each channel)
  • Conducting basic analysis of this data in Google Spreadsheets
  • Collaborating with the Communications Coordinator to identify trends and make recommendations to appropriate organizational teams

MUST HAVE:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and/or Google Spreadsheets
  • Strong oral and written skills
  • An interest in analyzing user data and identifying trends
  • Proficient computer skills and ability to learn new digital tools easily
  • Ability to meet deadlines and function in a fast-paced work environment
  • Ability to perform duties with minimal supervision
  • College level coursework in data analysis, statistics, or market research a plus
  • A well-developed sense of humor
