Act now to tell your delegate to create this important program!
More than 71,000 acres in Southwest Virginia have been impacted by coal mining, and there are thousands of other “brownfield” sites across the state that need to be reclaimed and put into productive economic use. Building renewable energy projects on these sites can provide jobs, build local economies while conserving local forests and farms.
The “Brightfields Grant Program” can help ensure the benefits of the renewable energy economy are reaching economically distressed communities, but we need the General Assembly to include funding in the budget to ensure this program can get off the ground!
Tell your delegate today that you support funding the Brightfields program!
