The Virginia House of Delegates will vote TUESDAY on Dominion’s ratepayer rip-off.
Contact your delegate NOW and ask them to oppose HB 1558.
As amended, this bill still contains egregious provisions that will cost us significantly over the long term — far more than the “rate freeze” currently in effect.
Yesterday, the House of Delegates narrowly rejected a measure that would have protected Virginians from having to pay as much as $50 billion — that’s $20,000 per customer — in the coming years to allow Dominion Energy to bury electric power lines. This blank check cannot be granted at ratepayers’ expense.
The State Corporation Commission, the Attorney General’s office, and numerous consumer advocates continue to stress that the bill carries billions of dollars in unfair costs for Virginians, primarily for customers of Dominion Energy.
There’s still time to contact your delegate before the House votes!
