Members fuel our ability to protect the land, air, water and communities of central and southern Appalachia, and we have seen some great strides in our campaign for a healthy and prosperous region.

Recently, West Virginia Senator Robert Byrd reversed his position on mountaintop removal mining, due in no small part to ongoing meetings with us and with impacted coalfield residents.

And at the U.N. Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen our work with Coal River Wind will be showcased by Google as one of the world's defining environmental battles.
