I understand that people want jobs. The trouble I have is understanding why they don't want clean and safe air and water for their children. Sometimes I figure the wealthy top dogs figure they are above-it-all in their ivory towers, after all they can import clean water and buy air filtration systems or just move somewhere else.

I just can't figure out the mine workers and others going for these arguments. When we leave coal or natural gas in the ground we are investing in the future, the same as if we put a dollar in the bank. It will go up in value and be worth far more in the future as scarcity drives the price up. If we wait and let our coal become more valuable we can develop better, safer, cleaner extraction techniques.

Lots of these jobs aren't even going to locals, our hotels are filled to bursting with out-of-state contractors, one poor 21-year old boy from Louisiana was just killed in a fire in the flea-bag hotel the company put him up at a week or so ago.

I'm glad you all are working on this. Wish I could do more to help.
